Project Information
Loud Architects reworked the kitchen, extending carefully into the side return and to the rear. Planning consent was secured for a perforated steel screen, cut with palm motifs, which filters light softly into the space while forming a sheltered courtyard. Existing glazing was removed and structural glass installed to allow daylight to flood in, complemented by an up-and-over structural glass window that dissolves the boundary between inside and out.
Upstairs, the house was gently reimagined with a contemporary bathroom featuring a rare Boffi tube shower, whilst on the ground floor a living green wall introduces texture and greenery to the designed in courtyard, reinforcing the connection to the garden. The result is a calm, light-filled home where architecture, landscape and materiality work quietly together.
